Sallie and I met on a blind date in March 1970 and got married 10 weeks later. I started college soon after and Sallie worked in the medical arena. We moved to Florida in 1978. Our daughters were involved in everything at school, and we spent 13 years chaperoning and having kids at our house every weekend. It was not unusual for me to fix 200 chicken wings at a time.
After the girls got married, we opened an "adult arcade" that was VERY successful. We spent a few years traveling and having a great time. Now we have 6 wonderful grandsons to keep up with. We are about an hour from the theme parks, half hour from the space center, 20 minutes from the beach, so even though we're retired, we're busier than ever!!!! And traveling even more!

I was not very visible in school. I kept mainly to myself, and a few friends. I rode a motorcycle and worked at Burger Boy. About the middle of my junior year I decided that I would join the Navy. Mrs.Brabban gave me her blessing and told me that I was not college material anyway. (I got my GED in the Navy and came back to get my Masters Degree in Counseling and Guidance (Magna Cum Laude) in 1975.
